The Dachshund's affectionate
He wants to wed with you:
Lie down to sleep,
And he's in bed with you.
Sit in a chair,
He's there.
Depart,
You break his heart.
~ E.B. White
“Dachshunds have their own agenda and can be stubborn about seeing their plans through to completion. What Rosie lacked in consistency, she made up for in enthusiasm. Most of the time when I called her name, she sprinted back, her long ears cocked and flying like a little girl's pigtails. Each encounter was a glorious reunion, even if we'd been parted for only a minute or two. I had never felt so loved.”

Hello!
I might be doing Chitra Santhe this year (I'll only know for sure after the 15th of this month), which means I need to make lots of new illustrations! (See my post on last years Santhe here.)
And when I sat down to draw yesterday, this is what emerged.
Meet Edward & Elizabeth Dachshund. A.k.a. Mr. & Mrs. Dachshund.
:)
Oh, and here's wishing you a very happy new year!
Cheers,
Radha
P.S: Have you seen Lisa Bengtsson's Dachshund prints? Love!
